We have one variety of toothpaste that contains fluoride in our range - our Complete Care Toothpaste. All other toothpastes in our range are fluoride free.
Our toothpaste boxes and our bottles can be recycled (bottles are HDPE 2). Check with your local council regarding recycling of the toothpaste tubes – unfortunately most recycling centres do not accept laminate toothpaste tubes. You can recycle all our toothpaste tubes via Terracycle, simply cut tubes in half, rinse out the excess and drop off at your local Terracycle drop off point.

Our toothpaste is proudly made in Melbourne. There is a combination of Australian and imported ingredients in each of our toothpastes and that combination differs by variety. Around 60% of our ingredients are from Australian sources. We are also very proud that our packaging, both tubes and boxes, are made in Melbourne.
The alcohol in most mouthwashes is not an active ingredient – it does not kill bacteria. Alcohol can actually dry your mouth, reducing the amount of protective saliva which would usually wash away excess food and bacteria. Odour causing bacteria flourish in a dry mouth. Long term exposure to alcohol can potentially lead to oral cancer. Switching to an alcohol free, plaque reducing mouthwash like Grants Minty Fresh Mouthwash is an excellent alternative to an alcohol based mouthwash.
Most mouthwashes are not suitable for children as they contain alcohol. Even though Grants Minty Fresh Mouthwash does not contain alcohol, we do not recommend its use for children under the age of 12 as there could be underlying oral care issues. We recommend you seek the opinion of an oral care practitioner, before allowing children to use a mouthwash.
The wrapper around our toothbushes is made from paper, is 100% biodegradable and can be composted. Our toothbrushes are wrapped for hygienic purposes as toothbrushes can sit on shelves for extended periods of time and dust and grit can get into the bristles. We also use the paper wrapper as a tamper evident seal.
The bamboo used for our toothbrush handles is sustainably sourced in the Zhejiang Province in China. It is a wild, quick growing and low maintenance bamboo, watered only by natural mountain rain. No pesticides or fertilizers are used on the bamboo. Our bamboo supplier harvests less than 1% of the possible bamboo resources in this large mountain region.
Our eco-friendly biodegradable Bamboo Toothbrushes are made in China. When we set out to make bamboo toothbrushes we looked for manufacturers in Australia but unfortunately there are none we have not been able to find one.
Drinking 1 – 3 teaspoons daily of the Grants Liquid Chlorophyll mixed into a glass of water can help relieve bad breath and body odour. An added benefit is the flavour – it tastes like spearmint cordial – yum!
Grants Crystal Deodorant works when the moistened crystal is applied to the underarms. A thin layer of the mineral salts are left behind on the skin, stopping bacteria causing odour but allowing the skin to breath and perspire naturally.
One of the naturally occurring minerals in the Grants Crystal Deodorant is alum. It has larger molecules than the smaller molecules found in aluminum. Larger alum molecules are not absorbed by the body. They do not prevent perspiration or block the pores of the skin, but they do help prevent odour.
All of our Grants Toothpastes, Grants Mouthwash & Grants Liquid Chlorophyll are proudly made in Melbourne (including all packaging). All Grants products that are not made in Australia are labelled accordingly. Grants Deodorants are made in Thailand & our Grants Bamboo Toothbrushes are made in China.
